Chair Rails
A brief history of chair rails.
Chair rails were originally designed to keep walls from being damaged by moving people or furniture. They serve both decorative and practical applications. Although chair rails started as a simple chair protector for walls, they have evolved to become a must-have decorative element in modern households.
They serve as a beautiful accent to any room, running horizontally to form an authentic look while also protecting the wall from scuffs and dents. In a way, the chair rail completes the plain wall creating a distinctive appearance.
